The idea behind the Love4God Survey for Believers
If a people prizes wisdom, wisdom is going to make them great (Proverbs 4:8).

“I really appreciated how the GGU leader took everything direct from scripture, then asked us to determine to what degree it was true for us/our church.”

-Cornerstone Shenandoah, Iowa

Wisdom will allow us to succeed just like sharpening an ax makes chopping wood easier (Eccl 10:10).

So how do we get wisdom? Solomon and James 1:5-6 tell us: By asking Yahweh for it.

But the first thing God will tell us when we request wisdom will probably be, "The people who put Jesus' words into practice will become wise" (Matt 7:24).

Husband survey improves husband!
Several years ago, I was reading a book by the great teacher on relationships, Gary Smalley. One chapter had a list of about 60 statements describing a good husband. I captured these statements and created a survey ranking me as a husband, and asked my wife to evaluate me using this survey. Next to each statement, she could respond that it was true for her husband “Always”, “Never”, or a few answers in between.

The first time she filled it out, I studied the results and squirmed – the graph showed that I fell far short as a husband! But I looked for the areas where I scored the lowest, and for 30 days I took action to address just those areas where I fell short the most.

“The people who put Jesus words into practice will become wise."

-Matthew 7:24

The result was dramatic. When she took the survey again the next month, my “husband score” went way upeven in areas I did not consciously try to improve in! Our relationship was greatly strengthened, and a year later I still scored high.

I left an old way of husbanding.
     I worked through a process.
I entered a new way of husbanding.

So one day I asked myself a question that got me excited just to ask it: If married love could really grow by asking my wife to rank me as a husband, could the same thing happen in my relationship with God, as well?

Can we get closer to THE GOD of the universe by rating ourselves??

Can a biblical self-survey help Christians act more and more like their boss Jesus Christ? Can believers rate themselves on a survey, showing how faithful and consistent they are in acting on Jesus' teaching – and in the process come in closer contact with the one and only GREAT I AM??

Can believers rate themselves on a survey ... and come in closer contact with the one and only GREAT I AM??

If we could rate ourselves, could we then discover our “areas of opportunity” – that is, the “weak” areas of our lives where we can most improve?

There may be lots of opinions about how “in God” Christians are today … But does anyone know? Can anyone measure it somehow – in a meaningful, objective way?

Without wisdom, we'll all be failures – our life mission is hopeless. By coasting, we'll make failure certain. But with wisdom and God's Spirit we can succeed. GGU is committed to promote a body of believers growing in wisdom and the Spirit's power.

That’s why we’ve created an enriching, exciting, fun way for Christians to grow to love Jesus more by being more faithful to Jesus’ teachings, and at the same time grow in wisdom and genuine freedom in their lives!!

It's all about love
Jesus said the most important command is to love God and our neighbor. How does a person love – how is love accomplished (according to the Bible)? “He that has my commands, and keeps them, is the one that loves me.” (John 14:21)

When I read that one day a couple years ago, I wondered: If people we know today would ask themselves the following two questions, how would the average Christian answer?

“Do I have Christ’s commands? Do I keep them?”

According to Jesus, personal, spiritual freedom comes from knowledge of the truth. And knowledge of the truth comes by being Jesus' real disciple. And being his real disciple comes by being faithful to his teachings (John 8:31).

How would the average Christian answer these two questions:

Do I "have" Christ's commands?

Do I keep them?

You could show the cause-and-effect of what Jesus said like this:

Be faithful to Jesus’ teachings - then you will ...
Be Jesus’ real disciple - then you will ...
Know the truth - then you'll have ...
     Real freedom!

I have to ask myself, how faithful am I to Jesus teachings? If I’m honestly not faithful to his teachings, then I’m not a real disciple, I don’t know the truth, and I’m not morally or spiritually free! That’s just not where I want to be!

So the Love4God Survey for Believers is for people who love Yahweh enough to examine themselves in a safe and private process.

No one ever sees the believer survey but you!

And wouldn't it be great if something like the believer survey was available for your whole church, too?

The Church Life Love4God Celebration
The GGU Church Life Love4God Celebration came about because I came to understand that helping the church, or save the country from corruption and pride, trying to obey Christ’s order to teach all nations to obey his commands, anything you do for his kingdom ...

... would be worthless ... unless I helped churches and believers identify our greatest needs, from God’s point of view.

Remember when the mechanic said to you, “I gave your car a thorough inspection and tune-up, replaced a hose, and the engine is in fine condition now.” Didn’t you drive away with a great feeling of confidence and safety, knowing the car was now running soundly and reliably?

That's what the GGU Church Life Love4God Celebration is like.  But that's just the beginning ....
